How we do Infrared Asphalt Repair
While special repairs may require additional steps, this is generally how we execute an infrared repair:
Step 1
An infrared chamber heats the damaged area for 6 – 8 minutes, until the asphalt is in a workable state.
Step 2
The area is raked loose, and any unfit material is removed and repurposed.
Step 3
Fresh, hot asphalt is added to the area and combined with the existing asphalt.
Step 4
The new and recycled asphalt is blended together and raked level.
Step 5
A vibratory roller compacts the area sealing the thermal bonding of the repair.
Step 6
In less than 20 minutes, the entire repair process is complete.
